Ghanshyam Gupta is a distinguished painter who has had the rare privilege of showcasing his works alongside some of the greatest artists in history: Lucian Freud, Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne, Edvard Munch, Henri Matisse, Rembrandt, and Albrecht Dürer. This illustrious exhibition took place at the London Original Print Fair in 1997, held at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
In 1998, Gupta was honored with the Nordsten Award for Best Print of the Year by the London Original Print Association and was also celebrated as the Art Museum Award Winner at the Tokyo International Mini-Print Triennial, Japan. Among his many accolades, the Inlakes Scholarship for studies at the Royal College of Art in London stands out as one of the most prestigious. His works have been featured in Osians auctions, reflecting his significant impact in the art world.
A sculptor, printmaker, and painter, Gupta’s oeuvre is marked by continual transformation. His latest series of paintings explores the realms of optical illusion and transcendental meaning. Vibrant circles of color engage in dynamic centripetal and centrifugal dance, inviting viewers to explore the depths of perception and spirituality.
